Bismillahirahmannirahim

Asslamualaikum warrahmatullahi wabarakatuh

Good evening,

I’d like to thank Rabbi Schneier and the Appeal of Conscience Foundation for this award, but I don’t feel I deserve it. Not with all the work that remains to be done. Do you know, my friends, that we know more about our problems than we do about our achievement? That’s a real problem. We don’t know enough about the environment we depend on for our very lives.

All of us in the tolerance movement have seen many great victories over the years. We have witnessed the creation of new churches, along with Buddhist temple, mosques, Hindu temple, and we have regulated zoning area for the safety of all. These are real victories, my friends. We take justifiable pride in them.

And we know more needs to be done.  ”
